Apostolic Succession is the tradition by which Bishops can trace their lineage back to the original 12 apostles. Through the laying on of hands, new bishops are consecrated and commissioned to be the hands and feet of Christ Jesus, following in the footsteps of the original 12. Consecration services traditionally have a primary consecrator and 2 co-consecrators. This is to protect the validity of the lines of succession.

+++Jacob served as the primary consecrator for +++Henri and +++Henri was the primary consecrator for ++Patrick. Archbishop Edward Vaughan of the Anglican Free Communion and Lon Eilders, Bishop Emeritus of the ACUSA, served as co-consecrators in both services.
